Account & Access
Raycaster accounts are organization-based. You can:
- Receive an invitation from an existing organization admin
- Contact our sales team to set up a new organization
- Start a free trial from our website (coming soon)
After receiving an invitation or completing setup, you’ll receive instructions to create your credentials and sign in.
If you’re an organization administrator:
- Navigate to Settings → Users
- Click “Invite Users”
- Enter email addresses (one per line or comma-separated)
- Select appropriate role permissions
- Click “Send Invites”
Users will receive email invitations with instructions to create their accounts.

Raycaster is optimized for modern browsers with the best experience on:

We recommend keeping your browser updated to the latest version for optimal performance and security.
Currently, Raycaster is primarily designed for desktop use. While our web application is responsive and can be accessed on mobile devices, we recommend using desktop browsers for the best experience with large datasets and complex operations.
A dedicated mobile app is on our product roadmap for future development.

- For early-stage or stealth companies, research results may be limited
- The Professional and Enterprise plans include enhanced capabilities for researching private companies
- Enterprise plans can incorporate private data sources through custom integrations
The AI will always indicate confidence levels and information sources in research results.
Troubleshooting
Research duration can vary based on several factors:

Billing & Subscription
Raycaster’s billing is based on:
- Subscription tier (Starter, Professional, Enterprise)
- Number of user seats
- Additional add-ons (if applicable)
Billing occurs monthly or annually (with annual discounts available). Organizations can upgrade at any time, with prorated charges for mid-cycle changes.
If your organization reaches its usage limits:
- You’ll receive email notifications at 80% and 95% of your limit
- Critical operations will continue to function
- New research operations may be queued or limited
- Administrators can upgrade or purchase additional capacity from the billing dashboard
Enterprise customers have flexible overflow options to handle unexpected usage spikes.
Yes, you can change your subscription plan:
- Upgrading: Available anytime with immediate access to new features
- Downgrading: Takes effect at the next billing cycle
When upgrading, you’ll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing cycle. Contact your account manager or support for assistance with plan changes.
